A non-invasive exfoliating treatment using a specialty scalpel and has no down-time. Using a small blade to remove the outermost layers of dead skin and "peach fuzz". Includes skin analysis, deep cleansing under steam, customized enzyme or mild peel exfoliation, high frequency or LED panel lighting , serum, moisturizer and sun protection; complete with a relaxing neck & shoulder massage. Benefits include a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles, acne scarring, more efficient product penetration, pigmentation issues more in depth and more radiant skin over all .Dead skin cells, scar tissues as well as other debris will be removed in the process. The skin will thus look even and brighter. Similar to shaving, dermaplaning can also be used for hair removal. Very light short hair on the skin will also be removed. A maximum exfoliation technique, it scraps particles and pollutants off in a gentle and painless manner. The skin is exposed to harsh environmental toxins, irritants and sun damage. Not only does it make the skin appear dull but it can also make it look aged. Although only acting at the surface of the skin, dermaplaning clears away dead skin and brings immediate results. Who is a candidate for Dermaplaning? Dermaplaning is appropriate for almost any skin type, even candidates with extremely sensitive skin or rosacea. Candidates with active or cystic acne, thick or coarse facial hair, psoriasis or eczema is not suitable in the treatment area. How often does Dermaplaning need to be performed? It can be performed approximately every 3-4 weeks or once the skin has completed its next rejuvenation cycle. What happens when hair grows back after dermaplaning? It's common to feel a little stubble as your hair starts growing back in after dermaplaning. This doesn't mean that your hair is thicker or more coarse. It has to do with the way each hair was cut straight across. The hair feels different to you, but it's the exact same texture and color as it was before dermaplaning. Dermaplaning Aftercare Tips: Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 3 days post treatment & sunscreen Avoid using scrubs or harsh exfoliants for 1 week No make up at least 24 hours and avoid other facial treatments for at least 2 weeks post follow simple skin regimen (mild cleanser, moisturizer,spf, serum & hyaluronic)avoid retinol Avoid any contact with chlorine post 3 days
